Hello keepers of the peace!
Funny story... I sat down this morning to write a "thanks for a great first day" message, but by the time I was done typing it up, we had funded... so, I had to go back and change this into a "WE FUNDED IN 28HRS!!!" message.
I just want to thank you all very sincerely for your early support. You've already made this campaign a runaway success, but there are 30 more days of fun to come! Some quick notes on what we have in store for you here...
ONTO THE STRETCH GOALS
Great news! When we funded/hit the $7,000 mark, that triggered our first stretch goal. Now, each and every backer of THE PEACEKEEPERS campaign will receive our BONUS DIGITAL EXTRAVAGANZA, a virtual cornucopia of books from the hottest creators in comics. I'm still putting the package together, but I'm expecting to give you about a dozen extra Issues. I'll reveal those slowly, but surely over the next couple of weeks as I get things lined up and squared away.
Let's take a minute to do the math here... You're already receiving THE PEACEKEEPERS 1 & 2... and every backer receives Banjax #1, Aberrant #1, and that preview of THE JUMP #1... so, essentially, you're now getting about 17 different comic issues for this one pledge. Not bad, huh?
At $10,000 every backer will also get a beautiful original/Kickstarter-exclusive print from artist Davi Leon Dias and colorist Iwan Joko Triyono. It's something I'm EXTREMELY excited about. I'll reveal that image soon/as we get a little closer to that $10K benchmark.
BRING ON THE ADD-ONS
As I discussed in campaign story, we have been selected by Kickstarter to test their Add-on Beta interface. So, as I'm sure you all saw, when you check you, you're shown a list of extra goodies that can be had. We're still trying to figure out how best to make use of this feature, so if you have thoughts/ideas, if there is something you'd like to see there, send us a message/let us know and we'll do our best to add it.
Right now, that add-on section is mostly a greatest hits album. You can get both digital and physical copies of all our previous comics, individual issues and trades... the Ringo Award-winning ABERRANT Season 1 & 2... the currently Ringo-nominated BANJAX... our astral projection thriller/KS darling THE JUMP... and TALES FROM THE WORLD OF MONSTER MATADOR.
Every physical book you purchase via the add-ons interface will be SIGNED by me (unless you prefer otherwise). We obviously won't be seeing each other at cons for a good while... and I mostly only do them on the west coast because I have a 4 year old daughter at home... so, this might be your only chance to get a signature on a copy of ABERRANT or BANJAX. Big plus!
BUT WHAT'S NEW AND EXCITING?!
I'm glad you asked! We are going to try like hell to have a little fun with with add-on tool over the course of this next month. I have a number of uber rare/uber limited con variants that I will make available to you. I'll intro them here (via update) every couple of days and then, if you're interested, you can adjust your pledge/head over the the add-on section and pick one up.
